MY SHORT VISIT TO WEST JAVA

On my way to Malabar

Some photos that I took on my way to a small town in west java called Malabar and Pengalengan. Along the way, what we see is blue sky and green plantations of tea, vegetables, etc. Malabar is a small town in west Java province near Mount Malabar (Gunung Malabar). The Malabar tea plantation is located on the slopes of Mount Papandayan, which is in West Java, Indonesia. The Dutch with their colonial influence introduced tea growing to Indonesia about four centuries ago. The tea in this area is plucked all year long due to the climate.

Due to its lack of sharp astringency this tea gives a sweet brew with light characteristics.

All photos taken using Nikon D200 + Lens Tokina AT-X Pro 12-24 mm F4
